When we come to decorating our homes the bathroom, possibly the most used room in the house, tends to get overlooked and just gets a splash of paint. We have a few ideas here that won't cost very much, are very easy to do and will leave your bathroom looking fantastic.
Bring your bathroom walls to life with bright color and bold patterns. As most of our cabinets and fittings are neutral white, literally, anything goes.
If you like the traditional blues and greens fine, but jazz them up a bit. Add stripes and other designs to make a unique bathroom. Patterns painted over a base color look stunning.
Replacing cabinets and fixtures can be a very expensive business, but for a fraction of a cost you can replace the knobs, handles and hinges which will make your cabinets look brand new. These pieces of hardware are readily available and very easy to fit.
If you like tiles, make the most of the fantastic colors and designs that are available today. If you don't want the classic placement around the tub, create a design on the walls using smaller tiles in bright colors to create a really eye catching feature.
We all know lighting is important in a room, and our bathrooms really benefit from the correct lighting. It should be intimate without being too dark so look at your existing lighting and, if necessary, add new ones.
An extra window will give lots of extra, natural light in your bathroom. If this isn't an option, place your main lighting fixtures on the walls and ceilings to get the rest from your lighting.
